Today, I'm feeling plain overwhelmed by the number of good-looking movie trailers that decided to debut. Anna And The Apocalypse? Looks fun, and we've got an interview with the film's director up on FANGRRLS now! Another Halloween trailer?! I'm counting down the days — no, the minutes — until I get Badass Laurie Strode on the big screen before my very eyes. Oh, and it wasn't a trailer, but that official first look at Captain Marvel herself in her superhero duds was pretty phenomenal.

What other fun stuff did you see today?

- J.K. Rowling’s Cormoran Strike books are the next best thing to a grown-up Harry Potter. (Vox)
- The underappreciated gems of the Halloween franchise. (Graveyard Shift Sisters)
- Stranger Things’ Shannon Purser wants to redefine who gets to be a leading lady. (Flare)
- Brick, Rian Johnson’s moody masterpiece, is now available on streaming. (Decider)

You can send us suggestions for stuff to include in future round-ups at any time, either in the comments below or via our Twitter feed at @Syfyfangrrls.
