The HBO drama is known for both killing characters and replacing actors, but the character who's on the Game of Thrones chopping block now might not be who you're expecting.

Game of Thrones came out of the gate swinging this season, By episode two (SPOILERS AHEAD), Joffrey died in a very public and disturbing way leaving we, the audience, to once again wonder who might be next. And though this character won't be killed off, we sadly won't be seeing him anytime soon, despite his just showing up for the first time in a long time during last week's episode. That's right -- I'm talking about new king Tommen's beloved feline companion, Ser Pounce.

According to an HBO rep, Pounce won't be back during the rest of season four and there's "no word" if he'll be back in future seasons either.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can this be? We thought for sure that, since Joffrey bit it, Ser Pounce was finally safe!

Seriously, who will add much needed levity next time Margaery roles up in to future king Tommen's bedroom for some cradle robbing? Who will be a purring ball of fur? Who will have adorable toes like beans? Who, I ask you, who?

Fare the well, Ser Pounce. Your soul was too pure for this world.
