Though sophomore series like The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow might be stealing some of the buzz these days, The CW’s DC universe started with Arrow — and the mothership is getting back to basics in our first look at Season 5.

The CW has dropped the first trailer for Season 5 at San Diego Comic-Con, featuring Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) as they look to clean up the streets of Star City in the wake of Damien Darhk’s defeat last year. We get to see Oliver working with a new team, as he looks to fill a few of the vacancies in the wake of last season.

The producers have teased a more simplified spin on the Green Arrow saga this season, and they’ve brought in Walking Dead alum Chad L. Coleman as new baddie Tobias Church to help with the transition. The character is described as "an imposing gangster looking to unite the various criminal enterprises in Star City under his own singular command."

Season 5 of Arrow premieres October 5 on The CW.
