Orphan ends strong, Hannibal holds steady + 44 other genre shows

We're in what could be called the calm before the storm right now.

We've got less than 10 active series to cover this week, but in the weeks to come a plethora of summer shows will arrive to get things going again. Meanwhile we're looking forward at quite a few impending late spring finales. This week Orphan Black ended its first season with a boost, while Merlin maintained its loyal viewers for its American series finale. And then there's Game of Thrones, which got a nice bump with its shocking penultimate episode.

Revolution (NBC) 6.32 million viewers/1.9/5 share

Revolution got a nice spike in viewers and broke even in its rating score. We'll see if the season finale can continue that climb.

Hannibal lost a few viewers and broke even with its rating this week, but if you're a fan it's time to rejoice. It just got a second season order.

Save Me (NBC) 2.66 million viewers/0.6/2 share

After a mediocre season premiere, Save Me took another drop with its second and third episodes this week. If this continues, there's no way this show survives.

Merlin held its rating score and got a slight boost to its viewers for its American finale. So, time to say goodbye to a show that maintained a loyal following on both sides of the pond.

Da Vinci's Demons (Starz) 0.45 million viewers/0.2

Da Vinci's Demons took another drop in viewers this week. Even if it keeps dropping, though, a second season has been ordered, so at least that leaves it plenty of time to try and bounce back.

Orphan Black got a nice boost to both viewers and ratings for its season-one finale. It struggled a bit at times this season, but steady viewers in two countries and a lot of acclaim mean it's coming back next year.

666 Park Avenue (ABC) — OFF

666 Park Avenue's final four episodes will show up this summer on ABC, then it's done.

For its penultimate season three episode, Game of Thrones got a boost across the board for its third best broadcast in a season filled with record-setters. We'll see if the season finale sets yet another record.
