Maybe you think Joe Simon and Jack Kirby are the only ones who created Captain America, but that's where the latest actor cast in Captain America: The First Avenger, someone you'll surely recognize, comes in.

If you don't know the name Stanley Tucci, you'd probably recognize him from The Devil Wears Prada (Meryl Streep's thankless assistant), The Lovely Bones (creepy killer George Harvey) or Road to Perdition (classy '30s gangster). He got an Oscar nomination for Bones, so they're surrounding Chris Evans with some A-list talent.

He'll play Dr. Abraham Ersinke, the German scientist who transforms Steve Rogers (Evans) into Captain America, Variety reported. This announcement, comes after recent additions to the cast of Tommy Lee Jones, Neal McDonough and Toby Jones. Already cast are Evans, Sebastian Stan, Hugo Weaving and Hayley Atwell.

The film will follow the comic-book storyline. During World War II, Rogers volunteers for the experimental "Project Rebirth" program and becomes the Super Soldier with a blue suit and striped shield. The film is due out July 22, 2011.
