No more Jamie and Claire? Wait a second there, Sassenach. A rumor was apparently spreading on social media that the main characters of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander book series (and popular Starz show) would soon be no more. Gabaldon took to Facebook to deny the rumor and clear up any misconceptions about Jamie and Claire's future.
Just when Jamie and Claire have been reunited, someone decided to start planning their death. But luckily, it wasn't Gabaldon, you know, the one who actually writes the books about the lovers who waited decades for one-another and finally seem to be back on track. In a recent Facebook post, Gabaldon clarifies that she has no plans to kill off the duo, even though someone out there seems to think that she does.
"my assistant just showed me an absolutely blithering post on some other page by someone asserting with great confidence that I'm going to kill off Jamie and Claire in Book Ten, because now that I'm a grandmother I don't want to write or do book tours anymore."
Gabaldon addressed the claims saying that while she doesn't like book tours she still does them, being a grandmother actually has nothing to do with writing a book, and she is in fact nowhere near actually writing Book Ten of the series (she is currently working on Book Nine: "Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone").
"it'll likely be another five years before I get anywhere near the end of Book Ten (and for the record, I _don't_ intend to kill Jamie and Claire off. If one of them happens to die on me, that's another issue, but no expectation of that happening at the moment)"

It's difficult to imagine Outlander without Jamie and Claire so just like Gabaldon we're wondering "W.T.F?" Thank goodness it seems like for now, fans don't have to start wondering what they'll do without them.
