It’s hard to believe, but the little found-footage horror flick Paranormal Activity has spawned one heck of a long lineage. But it’s all coming to an end. You know, at least until they reboot it a couple of Halloweens from now.
The final trailer for Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension has been released, just in time for the film’s release date on Oct. 23. The sequel aims to wrap up in the insane, twisty mythology that’s been built over the past several films (good luck!). This installment follows a new family who moves into the same house preview protagonists Katie and Kristi lived in while they were children. This sequel aims to reveal and explain the mysterious evil “Toby” once and for all. Here’s hoping it lives up to the hype.
The trailer itself shows off a good bit of footage, and the effects have improved from previous films — though (of course) it does retain that found-footage style that has become the series’ trademark. From creepy portals to creepy kids, it’s all here in spades.
