Alien abduction comedy People of Earth has been renewed for a third season by TBS, the network announced on Monday.

Variety reports that along with shows Wrecked and The Guest Book, People of Earth will be back for more. That's after averaging 2.7 million multiplatform viewers per episode in its second season.

The show, which tells the story of a support group for alien abductees called StarCrossed, has been a hit with critics and fans alike, praised for its quirky, high-concept premise. The promising second season of the show has already seen StarCrossed members deal with... Open eyeClose eye Show Spoiler both the arrival of FBI Agent Alex Foster and the realization that they were all previously abducted as children.

Now with a third season on the horizon, it seems entirely possible that it has legs to run on a little while longer too. (I mean, we’re imagining that once the characters start getting book deals for their crazy abduction stories, that’ll give yet more funny material for the show writers to play with.)

Late night talk-show host Conan O’Brien is the executive producer alongside Greg Daniels, and the ensemble cast includes Wyatt Cenac, Ana Gasteyer, Oscar Nuñez, Michael Cassidy, Alice Wetterlund, and Luka Jones, among others.

Canadian actor Ken Hall recently gave an exclusive interview to SYFY WIRE about playing the often cranky alien Jeff, and about those prosthetics, which you can read about here
