Peter Jackson's upcoming two-parter based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit lit up San Diego Comic-Con just a few weeks ago, and it turns out Jackson took a video camera with him to the event. Want to see what he was up to?

Released as part of the film's online production diary, the video follows Jackson around the con and even shows off some of the Hobbit panel the lucky fans in attendance got to check out.

Nice guy that he is, Jackson even offered a friendly hello for viewers:

"Hi everyone. I know that not everybody gets to Comic Con, so I thought I'd bring a little bit of Comic Con to you! Here's a bit of what I saw in San Diego, and what those in Hall H got to see of The Hobbit!"
Check out the video below:

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens Dec. 14; and The Hobbit: There and Back Again opens Dec. 13, 2013.

Are you looking forward to The Hobbit?
