After figuring out its new title for American audiences, the newest Pokémon film — Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us — has released its full trailer for its upcoming U.S. debut. Previously known as Pokémon the Movie: Everyone’s Story in Japan, the new film will continue its own canon apart from the games or any of the spinoffs, following the moral-giving ethos of the TV show.
The 21st movie in the franchise, The Power of Us takes Ash to the Wind Festival, which honors the legendary Pokémon Lugia, from Gold and Silver versions of the handheld game. The new trailer introduces some new characters and the film’s scary, town-threatening plot.
