The sun has finally set on another successful three-day weekend for Portland's Rose City Comic Con here in the wild and woodsy Pacific Northwest.

Oregon's proximity to some of the top comic book talent and publishing houses like Oni Press, Dark Horse, Image, and IDW PDX make this annual gala of geekiness one of the best-loved and best attended pop culture celebrations in the rainy region.

This year's impressive lineup included acclaimed industry names like Mike Mignola, Jim Starlin, Gerry Conway, Brian Michael Bendis, Jeff Parker, Dustin Nguyen, David Walker, Ibrahim Moustafa, Christopher Sebela, and Amy Chu.

Celebrity guests balanced out the attractive offerings with former Dark Knight Val Kilmer, Aliens' frosty Corporal Hicks, Michael Biehn, Guardians of the Galaxy's Michael Rooker, Timey-Wimey Doctor, David Tennant, The Karate Kid's Ralph Macchio, The Exorcist's pea-soup spitter, Linda Blair, and Ant Man and The Wasp's Evangeline Lilly.

Founders Ron and Paula Brister keep the Rose City show a hometown, family-friendly affair, with the fast-growing festivities focused mainly on comics and the creative process, but also providing enthusiastic attendees with access to gaming, sci-fi, collectibles, anime, horror, fantasy, and all shades in between.

SYFY WIRE was there for the 7th annual congregation to embrace the goodwill, brotherhood, and inspiring creativity, and captured some colorful cosplay from the Beaver State's best.
