Esai Morales talks with us about playing the Adama family patriarch in Syfy's Caprica in this exclusive new video interview.

He offers us some insight into the shooting of the show's opening title sequence and how he cracked up the crew.

He also talks about the evolution of his character, Joseph Adama, and how he contributes to the development of Battlestar Galactica. "You can see how Adm. Adama, where he derived a lot of the strength of his character," he says.

Referring to Edward James Olmos, who played the admiral, Morales adds: "He's a tough act to follow."
