Like a good neighbor, Retcon is there! Powerless will be the first live-action comedy based in the DC Universe, starring the employees of Retcon Insurance, who leap into action in the aftermath of any metahuman activity. For example, if Superman throws a villain through a building, someone's got to cover the repairs. When Aquaman floods the streets with sea life, Retcon has to deal with all the water damage to the affected buildings. It stars Vanessa Hudgens (Emily Locke), Danny Pudi (Teddy), Alan Tudyk (Del) and Ron Funches (Ron).

We knew headed into San Diego Comic-Con that lesser-known characters like Crimson Fox (from Justice League Europe) and Jack-O-Lantern would appear in Powerless, but I spoke to the co-executive producers Ben Queen and Michael Patrick Jann as well as the aforementioned cast members, and they confirmed that the collateral damage from headline DCU heroes like Superman, Batman and Green Lantern would be a part of the stories too. However, there was no confirmation if we'll see them on the screen. It's important to note that Powerless is not necessarily tied to the Greg Berlanti universe (Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow) but stories could be inspired by them, movies or comic book touchstones, whatever provides the most fun.

Check out the video below to get acquainted with the characters of Powerless and what viewers can expect in its inaugural season, which is currently set to air on NBC in January 2017.
