Stuff We Love: PPW Toys’ geeky nesting dolls series

There are so many options out there for different toys and figures that kids can not only enjoy playing with, but adults can also enjoy adding to their collections and having out on display to showcase their passion for fandom. One of the more options that I have fun displaying in my home is a PPW Toys set of Star Wars nesting dolls inspired by The Force Awakens.

The set, which I received as a gift from a family member, features five dolls of varying sizes that you'd typically find in nesting dolls. Each one represents a different character. Unlike the newer set pictured above, my set featured — from largest to smallest — Kylo Ren, Finn, Poe Dameron, Rey, and BB-8. While I really wish Rey was one of the bigger sizes like the new set, BB-8 is extremely adorable as the smallest doll. It’s definitely my favorite doll and the one I like to have on display the most. Frankly you can’t use these for much, though I think kids would get a kick out of the plastic toys and taking them apart and putting them back together over and over again. Still, I do like to have them out every once in a while, and lining them all up offers a unique display.

This is just one set in a whole series that PPW Toys has, too, so if you want a set other than Star Wars or you want other characters from the franchise, there are a lot of options to choose from. Sets feature Ghostbusters, Goonies, Power Rangers, Marvel characters, and more. For Star Wars, you've got Empire and Rebellion sets as well as sets inspired by The Last Jedi, including a Resistance set in which Rey is rightfully represented by the biggest doll.

With all those options, I definitely recommend taking a look at PPW Toys' unique nesting doll series, whether you need a gift for a geeky kid or are looking for a fun way to show off your own geeky side.
