Meet the folks who are gonna save your butts from being mounted on the Predator's trophy wall

We're a week away from the release of The Predator and 20th Century Fox wants you to get acquainted with the group of badasses, known as "The Loonies," who are gonna protect you from the pelt-hunting aliens (and their voracious hounds) from beyond the stars. Think of them as a much more conspicuous version of the Men in Black.

In a short Tarantino-esque spot/featurette/teaser titled "The Team," we are introduced the main cast of characters, played by Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Augusto Aguilera, and Thomas Jane. Set the entire thing to the rocktastic beats of Ram Jam's 1977 hit "Black Betty," and you've got yourself instant hype.

Watch the video below and you'll learn that our saviors are absolutely cuckoo:

Holbrook (Narcos, Logan) portrays Quinn McKenna, an army Ranger/Sniper with a Silver Medal, and 13 confirmed kills. As the narrator puts it, he's "a certified badass." Rhodes (Westworld) plays Nebraska Williams, "the muscle"; Key (of Key & Peele) portrays Coyle, the "disturbed" and "mentally unstable" smartmouth, who is a danger to others; Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse) is the only female member of the group, Casey Bracket; Allen (Game of Thrones) is Lynch; Aguilera (Too Old To Die Young) is Nettles; and Jane (1922) is Baxley.

Those last three don't get any kind of interesting backstories or facts, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're not important to the plot, or die very early on in the movie. Just take a deep breath and enjoy yet another Predator spot titled "Breathe Deep."

Written and directed by Shane BlackThe Predator invades theaters to hunt members of the human race on Sep. 14. Expect early reactions/reviews to start making their way online after the film enjoys its world premiere at Toronto Film Festival tomorrow.

It also stars Sterling K. Brown (Black Panther), Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid's Tale), Jake Busey (Stranger Things), and Jacob Tremblay (Wonder). We're so hoping for secret cameos from Arnold Schwarzenegger and/or Danny Glover.
