Prepare yourself for more Robin Wright in Wonder Woman 1984

Robin Wright (House of Cards, Blade Runner 2049) is returning for the Wonder Woman sequel, but unlike Steve Trevor (Chris Prine), she's not miraculously coming back to life.

Based on a Net-a-Porter profile done on Wright, the actress filmed a flashback scene in Spain with Connie Nielsen, who plays Diana Prince's mother, Queen Hippolyta of  Themyscira.

This isn't out of the realm of believability, as Antiope helped train Diana in the fighting styles of the Amazonians against the wishes of Hippolyta. It's not hard to picture a moment in Wonder Woman 1984 where our hero must flashback to her training sessions with Antiope. Hell, the film might even open on a sequence of them working together, with Antiope imparting some wisdom that will later be reincorporated into the plot.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 lassos into theaters Nov. 1, 2019. Gal Gadot reprises her role as the titular character, although a few new additions were made to the cast, including Kristen Wiig (Cheetah) and Pedro Pascal (his role is currently unrevealed).
