Writer Cullen Bunn (Marvel's Monsters Unleashed, The Sixth Gun) has a serious addiction to Micronauts, starting as a kid playing with a huge box of the magnetic-jointed space toys, plastic vehicles and action figures from Mego in the late '70s.  As the lead architect of IDW's ongoing mainline Micronauts series, Bunn has delved deep inside the Microverse and explored the miniaturized worlds of Space Glider, Acroyear, Time Traveler, Biotron and the dastardly robotic tyrant, Baron Karza.

Now the black-armored Karza is getting his own 5-issue, spin-off series titled, Micronauts: Wrath of Karza, and we have an exclusive look at the interior art by Andrew Griffith (The Transformers, Optimus Prime) and variant covers for the first issue debuting today, April 26.

Here's the official solicitation synopsis:

As one universe dies, another is invaded! Microspace — the home of the Micronauts — is collapsing. But Baron Karza has discovered a new universe in which the people of Microspace would thrive, a universe in which he would rule! The first world to be conquered is Earth, and the first enemies to be targeted are the TRANSFORMERS, G.I. JOE, M.A.S.K., and ROM!
