We've been hyped about everything coming out of Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, an animated tie-in web series featuring all of our favorite female characters from the franchise.

Now, in addition to the series, new toys have been released to give young fans -- especially young girls -- more of an opportunity to engage with their favorite characters.

At the Hasbro welcome breakfast at San Diego Comic-Con, we had the chance to see the new Forces of Destiny toy line up close. The offerings, which are referred to as "adventure figures" (sort of an action figure/doll hybrid), are approximately 11 inches tall and feature all of the spotlighted female characters who appear in animated form, from several incarnations of Princess Leia to Star Wars Rebels' Sabine Wren.

According to Hasbro, the Forces of Destiny adventure figures will be available in stores beginning August 1.
