Skybound has been pretty busy launching new series based on Robert Kirkman's comics and worlds over the last two years, including Fear the Walking Dead and Outcast.  While neither has earned the massive audiences of AMC's The Walking Dead,  Fear and Outcast have both been critically praised for finding their own creative paths once they got past their initial slow starts.

At SDCC, executive producer David Alpert was honest with Blastr about the stumbling blocks of launching new shows, and specifically what vexed them about getting Fear the Walking Dead and Outcast right. With Fear ready to play out a massive new story in the walker-infested wilds of Mexico on Sunday, Aug. 21, on AMC and Outcast just closing its first season on Aug. 12, we get into the positives and negatives of both stories going forward.
