Always wanted to see more of Professor Charles (Patrick Stewart) Xavier's bald head—instead of the full head of hair James McAvoy will sport in X-Men: First Class? Well, that wish may come true, because producer Lauren Shuler Donner let slip that not one but two sequels to X-Men: Last Stand are on the way.
Below is the small quote from Shuler Donner that confirms plans to go ahead with sequels—even though Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class has not yet been released and won't be until June 3:
"We took the treatment to Fox and they love it ... And X4 leads into X5.″
We don't know about you guys, but we think this is some truly great news, because Fox must have enough faith in this project (and perhaps even in First Class) to consider more sequels to the critically declaimed X-Men: The Last Stand.
The site also believes that Bryan Singer MAY have written the treatment that was pitched to Fox, since he also wrote the treatment for First Class.
Now let's hope Fox gets the wheel turning fast enough on this project so Hugh Jackman doesn't have lose the whopping muscles he's already put on for The Wolverine, and that they'll do their very best to try and fix the mistakes made in X-Men 3 (i.e., killing off Cyclops, Jean Grey and Professor X, as well as screwing up the whole Dark Phoenix saga).
What do you think? Do you want to see more of the good old X-Men team? And do you think Fox will still go ahead with those sequels if First Class ends up bombing at the box office?
