It’s taken decades, but a professional Bigfoot hunter claims he’s finally bagged the mythical Sasquatch. Rest in peace, big guy.
From his humble beginnings in distant black-and-white photos to his maturation into grainy video footage, the hairy fella has been a major part of urban legend out roaming the forests. After that? The modern era, as major guest stints on The Bionic Woman and a lengthy starring role in Harry and the Hendersons made the Sasquatch an enduring part of pop culture.
But all that has seemingly come to an end, as Bigfoot enthusiast Rick Dyer claims he has shot and killed Bigfoot — and is now preparing to take its body on a tour of America. To prove its legitimacy, Dyer has released the bizarre, Neverending Story-esque photo below:
Dyer claims he even had scientific DNA and body scans done on the body to prove it's legit. He’s quoted as saying: “It is the real deal. It's Bigfoot and Bigfoot's here, and I shot it and now I'm proving it to the world.”
For Bigfoot enthusiasts, Dyer had previously popped up on the national radar when he was allegedly involved in a 2008 hoax revolving around a rubber Bigfoot suit. To prove that this time is different, he’s planning a press conference “soon” to show off his proof. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
The Bigfoot Dyer killed is apparently the same creature he captured on the insanely grainy footage below. So, yeah, totally legit:
What do you think? Is Bigfoot wasting away in this guy’s freezer, or still out prowling the wilds?
