When Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended on a cliffhanger back in December, we’d just discovered that Skye (Chloe Bennet) was actually Daisy Johnson — aka Quake in the Marvel comics — and that she was actually an Inhuman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The momentous finding of an Inhuman city hidden here on Earth, and the triggering of Skye’s Inhuman powers, also led to the dramatic — and senseless — death of Agent Triplett (B.J. Britt). We’ll miss Antoine Triplett and wish they’d kept him around, but it's onward and upward into a brave, new, Inhuman-infested world, and now we have our first trailer for what's to come.

The new trailer shows Skye having a hard time controlling her newfound powers, which should lead to some interesting drama for Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on Tuesday, March 3. We've also learned that more Inhumans will be added to the mix (this is essentially to tie the show to this summer's tentpole Avengers: Age of Ultron, as well as laying the groundwork for Marvel’s in-the-works Inhuman flick, set to be released in 2018). Marvel has cast Luke Mitchell (Tomorrow People) as a “charismatic Inhuman named Lincoln, who has an important role to play in Skye understanding the true extent of her transformation.”

Executive producer and Marvel's Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb said:

“With the revelations surrounding Skye’s true identity in the Winter Finale, we knew we’d be introducing more Inhumans as our story progressed. The charming energy Luke brings to the role will make him a character to watch as we continue our season.”
