Raised by Wolves, HBO Max's upcoming sci-fi drama from director Ridley Scott (Alien: Covenant) and writer Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners), is all about androids raising human children in the future. Sounds a bit Blade Runner-esque, but don't let the connection to Scott's previous work color any opinions. Though Scott directs the first two episodes of the 10-episode series, the first trailer makes it clear that this show is an even darker, stranger, more religious story than any with replicants.
The Earth has been destroyed, motherly robots help humankind, and the world is starting over. Except, of course, since it's sci-fi from Scott, who knows what parts of that are actually true. Fans can decide for themselves after seeing some of the effects-heavy first footage.

This nursery rhyme isn't comforting at all. And where are the pigs? It only looks like wolves out there. And wait, was that Gollum? This colony is in a bad way if it's going full sci-fi Lord of the Rings ... but all that bloody violence seems to have hinted at that already.
Ex-soldier Marcus (Travis Fimmel) and his medic wife Sue (Niamh Algar) lead a cast including Mother and Father androids (Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim) and a gaggle of children (Winta McGrath, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Jordan Loughran, Aasiya Shah, and Ivy Wong) alike.
The show also dropped its first poster, which fans can see below:
