Alan Tudyk is to Disney Animation as John Ratzenberger is to Pixar. Somewhat of a lucky charm for the studio, the Firefly actor has voiced a character in every Disney Animation project since 2012's Wreck-It Ralph — he even played the chicken Hei Hei in Moana.
While you can catch Tudyk in a number of upcoming genre roles (including DC Universe's Doom Patrol and Harley Quinn), his next onscreen gig comes in the Wreck-It Ralph sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet, where he voices a stubby little purple search engine character called KnowsMore.
Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) approach him, hoping to find info on a replacement piece for the latter's arcade game. Since KnowsMore is a Google-esque search engine, he has a hilarious tendency to autofill anyone's search requests. Watch him do it in the new clip (released by Disney) below!
During the sequel's panel at New York Comic Con, it was stated that the look of KnowsMore was based on animation styles and characters from the 1950s and '60s. This very clip (along with a few others) were also shown at the panel.
In addition to Tudyk, the film's cast includes Taraji P. Henson, Bill Hader, Gal Gadot, Alfred Molina, Jane Lynch, Ed O'Neill, and Jack McBrayer, as well as the voices of numerous real-world Internet influencers and all the Disney princesses ever to grace the silver screen.
Ralph Breaks the Internet comes online Nov. 21.
