Fans have been clamoring for a full-on Planet Hulk movie for years, and it sounds like we might (kinda) get that soon. Maybe.

Potential minor-ish spoilers ahead for Thor: Ragnarok!

JoBlo reports that an inside source that claims the upcoming Thor sequel will give some not-so-subtle nods to the beloved Planet Hulk storyline, before setting Hulk and Thor off on their road trip adventure. They claim the film will “definitely have” a Planet Hulk element to it, which will “mash-up” with the larger story of Ragnarok. Apparently Thor will track down Hulk on a planet where he’s competing in gladiatorial games run by Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster (he’ll also be sporting his one-shoulder armor).

The scene is apparently little more than a big set piece to set up Hulk’s entry into Thor’s world (and there’s sadly no intel on exactly how The Hulk wound up in space as a monster gladiator). But this could still be a really cool way to show off some of that huge comic storyline and bring the visuals to life, without actually trying to make an entire movie about it. Which, sure, we’d prefer a full Planet Hulk film — but we’ll take what we can get.

Of course, it goes without saying, but take this all with a grain of salt for now, until it’s confirmed. Do you want it to be true?
