Creep into this unsettling new preview for Resident Evil: Vendetta as the franchise characters Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy unite to stop a new biological weapon from being deployed inside a New York City subway.

This is the third animated offering from the Capcom survival horror property, preceded by Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) and Resident Evil: Damnation (2012). Directed by Takanori Tsujimoto, this atmospheric CGI feature strikes theaters on June 19, but we're hooking you up with a 9-minute sneak peek to set the mood.

Here's the official synopsis:

A death merchant named Glenn Arias is spreading a deadly virus in New York to avenge his wife’s death. Chris Redfield enlists the help of Leon Kennedy and Rebecca Chambers to stop him, but his own vengeance leads to a cataclysmic result.

Fathom Events is delivering Resident Evil: Vendetta to theaters for a special one-night presentation on June 19, before its digital drop the next day and home video release on July 18.

“We are thrilled to bring Resident Evil: Vendetta to the big screen for its U.S. debut," said Fathom CEO John Rubey. "This sequel is even scarier and more thrill-inducing than the previous titles, with mind blowing CG animation that should be seen on 40-foot screens with the highest quality sound and visuals to further enhance the fan experience of this beloved franchise.”
