While Bryan Singer is hard at work on X-Men: Days of Future Past as well as being busy as a bee prepping the script for X-Men: Apocalypse (which will bamf into theaters in 2016), you may wonder when there'll be time to do that new Wolverine solo flick. Well, wonder no more!
Director James Mangold is already committed to writing a sequel to The Wolverine, even if Hugh Jackman’s not so sure if he’ll slash his way back as the titular character after 15 years in the adamantium-clad skin of the X-Men’s most famous mutant. Whether Jackman returns or not, and whether the role will be recast or not, it seems that that Wolverine sequel is still on track, as can be seen per Mangold’s response to a Twitter user.
So that’s it, then. It’s safe to say that the Wolverine sequel won’t see the light of day until at least 2017. Will Hugh Jackman stay on as Logan, or will he want to hang up his claws for good by then? What do you guys think?
