Have you been thinking that Oculus Rift tech just isn't nearly cool enough? Sure, the virtual reality headset can take you to far-out different worlds, but doesn't it kinda feel like yesterday's news already? Well, if you want more from your virtual worlds, allow actor Sendhil Ramamurthy to suggest his new NBC show, Reverie.
You likely remember Ramamurthy as Mohinder Suresh on Heroes and Heroes Reborn, or perhaps from his work on Beauty and the Beast or Stan Lee's Lucky Man TV series. As you can see in the video below, we had the pleasure of speaking to him this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con to get the full skinny on Reverie, which he describes as a thriller at heart "that's set against a backdrop of a virtual reality program that's been created for people to fulfill their dreams or wishes." Aka "Ocular Rift times a thousand."
Ramamurthy plays Paul Hammond, the dream specialist, who designs the virtual worlds. He's joined on the show by Sarah Shahi, Dennis Haysbert, Kathryn Morris, and Jessica Lu. Check out the interview below to hear all about it, then let us know if you're virtually intrigued.
