Ferris Bueller had no idea how accurate he was when he said life moves pretty fast sometimes ... and he was just trying to take a day off, not prevent an evil speedster from destroying his future! So, by comparison, life moves insanely fast for Barry Allen in the new issue of DC Comics' The Flash.

In issue #25 of the comic book title, available June 28, Barry hops on the ol' cosmic treadmill and heads to the 25th Century to encounter a pre-baddie Eobard Thawne. But the trip isn't just a trek down memory lane (in the future, so up memory lane?) but is instead because Reverse-Flash has kidnapped Iris West and demands that The Flash meet him where it all began. Thawne had already killed a piece of Barry's past when he murdered our hero's mother, and now he's setting out to kill his future as well in part one of the "Running Scared" story arc.

This looks to be the biggest storyline yet for the Scarlet Speedster as Thawne pushes Barry to his limits on a chase through time, and we have an exclusive Syfy Wire preview of the extra-sized anniversary issue written by Joshua Williamson, with art by Howard Porter, and Carmine Di Giandomenico, who also both provide covers.

Check out the preview below, and if your heart is beating fast afterward, don't forget to race to pick up The Flash #25 when it drops this Wednesday.
