Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker changed plenty about the Star Wars canon, introducing new relationships, highlighting new powers, and bringing an epic story to its close, but it was also a cameo-filled romp for fans of the franchise. It wasn't just Lando coming back, but returning faces from all over the galaxy far, far away. One of those was a humble Ewok that helped make Return of the Jedi so memorable: Wicket. Now fans can get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how this alien teddy bear made his triumphant return.

Played once again by returning star Warwick Davis, the Ewok's cameo also featured the cuddly hero with a little furball of his own: played by Davis' real-life son, Harrison. "He's got older like I have, and he's had a child," Davis told SYFY WIRE. "The Ewok you see next to him is his son — and my son Harrison, in reality as well, which was a really lovely touch. [director J.J. Abrams] was really keen for us to play the characters together, which was lovely."

Now SYFY WIRE can debut an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip showing Davis and his son getting into the Ewok costumes, working with Abrams, and being an adorable display of parental love on set.

Take a look:

As the Ewoks look up to the sky, it's just one more warm fuzzy from these warm fuzzies. A sign that everything might just be OK. Besides, it can't have been too bad holding down the fort on the forest moon of Endor.

"I think life's been okay for the Ewoks. Once they expelled the Empire, it seems like everything's been okay," Davis said. "The idea of that scene there was to be looking up and seeing that the First Order is falling and life is going to be good again. I wasn't given any backstory, but no doubt knowing the fans of Star Wars, there will be people creating these backstories."

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released on Digital March 17 and Blu-ray March 31.
