Ripped straight from the pages of the acclaimed 2000 AD comic, Rebellion Development has deployed a radical new sci-fi gameplay trailer for its upcoming tactical survival game makeover, Rogue Trooper Redux, featuring five minutes of rousing Nu-Earth action.

This is an extensive SFX remaster and graphic refresh for the original 2006 Rogue Trooper game, which became one of the most faithful and invigorating video-game adaptations ever when it debuted for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox over 10 years ago.

Rebellion and developer TickTock Games are delivering remodeled assets and enhanced lighting details in this primer trailer, titled "101" and starring the last blue-skinned Genetic Infantryman alive and his trio of stealth comrades as they hunt down the Traitor General on the toxic wastelands of Nu-Earth.

Rogue Trooper's remastered Redux edition launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 17.
