Solo: A Star Wars Story might've been all about Han Solo, but the film did leave some unanswered questions as to his cohorts. Like what's the deal with Enfys Nest? And where did Lando get all of those capes? Well, we may one day get some answers, because director Ron Howard recently talked about a potential Solo sequel, and whether a Lando film is in the works.
Ever since the credits rolled on Solo, we've wondered whether a sequel film was in the (sabacc) cards for our favorite scoundrel. In a new interview with Empire Magazine, Howard addressed the sequel question by essentially saying that they're still talking about the possibility.
"It’s been kind of a constant process of asking the questions – how might this have happened? How might have Han Solo been affected? What are the events that might have shaped his life? I think it does continue to beg questions," said Howard.
Basically, that's a maybe. But obviously, these days, sequels are pretty much always in the back of someone's mind. And of course, spin-offs. Solo is in itself a spin-off, but does the success of the film mean we'll be getting another stand-alone film based on a classic character from the same film? Maybe one who also enjoys a game of sabacc?
Howard had this to say about a potential Lando film starring Donald Glover: "He’s so entertaining, that’s a real possibility. All of this is in discussion, but it all depends on project-by-project development.”
So, another maybe. There are of course other loose ends that could potentially be used in a spin-off or sequel. Like how about what Qi’ra was doing all the times we didn't see her with Han? Or the potential to bring L3-37 back to lead another revolution?
We know we've got a Boba Fett spinoff on the docket, but what other Star Wars films do you want to see?
