In the words of Tommy Pickles: "A baby's gotta do what a baby's gotta do" — and a baby definitely needs to get their hands on one of FYE's newly-released Reptar bars.

The once fictional candy product first appeared in the Halloween-themed episode of Rugrats' first season, "Candy Bar Creep Show", which first hit the air waves in October of 1991. In the episode, Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil learn about the spooky holiday for the first time, and turn their tongues green with a chocolate bar shaped like Reptar, the giant, green lizard/kaiju modeled after Godzilla, who played a huge part in the show and its subsequent feature-length films, and served as a personal hero and role model to the characters.

During that time, he's fought Robosnail on the streets of Paris, had his own ice skating extravaganza, and a real-world amusment park ride named after him, so it only made sense to make a Reptar-themed confection as well.

"We knew that in bringing to life an iconic piece of a classic Nickelodeon 'NickToon,' FYE would be able to provide a whole new level of immersive fan experience," Tim Lopes, FYE's "candy buyer" (and a Senior Buyer at Impulse, Candy & Snacks, Trans World Entertainment, the retailer that owns the store) tells SYFY WIRE. "Not only will longtime fans of Rugrats be excited to taste a Reptar Bar for the first time, they will also be able to share that experience with a whole new generation!"

For the last 26 years, kids of the '90s and fans of old-school Nickelodeon cartoons have only been able to fantasize about what Reptar bars might taste like. Until now! While they're not dino-shaped, they do contain a bright green icing that will change the color of your tongue just like they did in the show.

"After months of development with Astor Chocolate and their amazing Creative Team, we were able to bring to life a chocolate bar that not only is delicious, but also unlocks a time capsule of '90s memories (...and turns your tongue green!)," says Lopes.

When the news broke, longtime Rugrats fans could barely hang onto their daipies, and took to social media to voice their unabashed emotions about an actual dream come true:

Oh, did we also mention there's a Reptar cereal too?! This is truly the best time to be an OG Nick lover, with the upcoming Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie in November, along with an upcoming Rocko's Modern Life movie revival, and a Nicktoons shared universe film to be directed by Jared Hess (Nacho Libre, Masterminds). The past is quickly becoming the present, nostalgia no longer an ethereal collection of warm memories, but real, tangible items to make your inner child squeal with delight.

Now you can take a bite of your own bar and declare to the world, "I AM REPTAR, HERE ME ROAR!"
