We don’t even know what Star Wars: The Force Awakens is about, so rumors abound about those pending spinoffs. The latest scuttlebutt?

A new report has surfaced via Latino Review that essentially combines two long-rumbling reports about what we’ll see in the films that fall outside the main sequel continuity featuring members of the original cast and the new folks being introduced.

The report? That the upcoming spinoff, directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla), will focus on both a young Han Solo and Boba Fett. Previous reports had indicated the spinoff might focus on one character or the other, though this new note indicates we’ve only gotten part of it right up to this point. Here’s the choice excerpt:

When we thought that we were looking at a Han Solo or a Boba fett spin-off film first, we got a little bird singing in our ear telling us that we had it all wrong: both these characters are in the same movie.

Hmm. Take it with a grain of salt, but it makes as much sense as anything at this point. Disney spent billions for the Star Wars brand, so it stands to reason they’d capitalize on existing characters with built-in popularity when it comes to additional Star Wars films. These two are among the biggest, and it’s not too far-fetched to think they might’ve crossed paths at some point in the past.

What would you like to see from the first Star Wars spinoff film? Does this idea pique your interest?
