While Ryan Gosling will play the new lead in Blade Runner 2049, the movie will also see the return of Harrison Ford in his iconic role of Rick Deckard.

What we know of the movie so far is that Gosling is a new blade runner and LAPD officer named K who unearths a long-buried secret and has to find Deckard in order to solve it. In the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Blade Runner follow-up, we see K making his way through an orange-y dune-covered wasteland where he finally tracks down Deckard, who’s apparently been hiding in some sort of hotel. I’ve been scratching my head ever since, wondering where our favorite Replicant hunter has been for the past 30 years, and we may now have the answer.

According to a report over at Birth.Movies.Death, multiple sources indicated that Deckard has been hiding in Las Vegas. What’s more, one of their sources hinted he may even be living in Sin City’s famous Luxor Hotel, although BMD’s other sources couldn’t actually confirm that last bit (meaning, consider this a RUMOR for now). Since the film is set three decades after the first Blade Runner and Deckard has apparently been missing for pretty much that entire time, it’ll be interesting to know what he’s been up to since the events of the first film. Also, does that mean Vegas is now a wasteland?

Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) from a screenplay by Hampton Fancher (Blade Runner) and Michael Green (Green Lantern) based on a story by Ridley Scott and Hampton, Blade Runner 2049 also stars Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis and Sylvia Hoeks. The movie is slated to open on Oct. 6.
