If the latest Wonder Woman whispers are to be believed, someone's already tested for the role, but it might not be who you think.
It's been very difficult lately to escape rumors that DC Comics' Amazon warrior will pop up in Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman vs. Superman, finally setting the stage for the formation of a big-screen Justice League, and recent comments by Thor: The Dark World co-star Jaimie Alexander about her own interest in the role have only added fuel to the fire. Now a new report has surfaced that those Wonder Woman rumors are true, but they don't involve Alexander.
According to Schmoes Know, a "very reliable source" has informed them that Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace, Oblivion) is "testing" for the role of Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman. In case you don't know who we're talking about, here she is in Oblivion.
This report, coupled with all the other recent rumors we've heard, makes us even more confident (but still not certain) that we will finally see Wonder Woman on the big screen, though it could very well be just a cameo appearance at this point. It's also worth noting that this rumor doesn't say Kurylenko has the part, or that she's a front runner. It just says she's testing, and that could easily mean she's not the only one.
But, in the meantime, since hers is the name that's out there, let's consider it. If this rumor is true, and she impresses the Powers That Be, will Olga Kurylenko make a good Wonder Woman?
