Rumor of the day: Could the team be sporting new uniforms for Avengers 4?

**SPOILER WARNING: If this rumor turns out to be true, it could feasibly spoil some aspect of Avengers 4.**

For the 10 years that the MCU has been around, the costumes worn by the heroes have remained relatively stagnant. Sure, Iron Man gets regular armor upgrades, and Captain America made some serious revisions to his outfit in Avengers: Infinity War, but overall, they've more or less stayed the same.

That could all change in the upcoming Avengers 4, at least according to the latest rumor.

Yesterday on Instagram, KPOW! posted a pixelated look at what looks like the back of one of Hasbro's blister cards, with Thor and Rocket Raccoon sporting some black and white duds, with a little bit of red accent, and a big old "A" adorning the chest.

Though it looks like legit toy packaging, there's no other information out there to back this up, so it could simply be a fan Photoshop. And, given the state in which Infinity War left our heroes, it seems like changing up their outfits would be the last thing on their minds.

There could be some reasoning behind it, though. While the bulk of the surviving Avengers were stuck on Wakanda after Thanos' fateful snap, Tony Stark was left stranded on the moon of Titan all by himself, so it's going to take some serious plotting to get them all back together again. These new suits could factor into that somehow.

It's also possible that Tony Stark will rush to upgrade everyone's outfit before they have another showdown with the Mad Titan.

Granted, rumors about the MCU have really accelerated of late, especially since we're only about seven months away from Avengers 4 hitting theaters and we still don't know the title, but that hasn't stopped some fans from trying to figure it out. Really, the only thing we know for sure about Avengers 4 at this point is that Captain Marvel will show up and Captain America will be making his exit, probably.

Not to worry, there's still plenty of time to speculate on what will really happen between now and May 3, when Avengers 4 storms into theaters.
