The CW’s Flash could be adding a major baddie — and a major hero — when the show returns for Season 4.

Production is ramping back up on The CW’s superhero slate, and That Hashtag Show is reporting a few new additions that will allegedly be joining the cast.

The biggest surprise from the report is the claim that the hero Elongated Man will be joining the show as a major recurring star, with a potential series regular upgrade option. Elongated Man is a DC Comics hero with a similar power set to Marvel’s Mister Fantastic, as he’s able to stretch his body to superhuman lengths. He’ll apparently join the team in a loose capacity as he tries to shake off his “old misguided sense of truth and slobbery.” Looking to the comics, Elongated Man has a long history with the Flash, so it makes sense he could be brought into the fold. The casting call is described his look in the same line as “Ryan Reynolds or Chris Pratt.”

Last season dropped about a half dozen hints that Clifford Devoe, aka The Thinker, would be the Big Bad this year. Per this report, the network is currently casting the character as a series regular for the season. He's described as a Stephen Hawking-esque “meta-human with a mega-mind," and the season will pit “the fastest man alive against the fastest mind alive.” It’ll be interesting to see what they do with the character, and if nothing else, it’ll be nice to have a Big Bad who isn’t a speedster. Casting is also allegedly underway for Devoe’s right-hand woman, The Mechanic.

The Flash’s fourth season is set to premiere Tuesday, October 10, on The CW.
