Babylon 5 is one of the greatest sci-fi shows of all time. Next to Stargate SG-1 and Farscape, it was one of the best pieces of genre TV to come out of the late '90s. Luckily for us, former Star Trek and Babylon 5 star Walter Koenig says more Babylonian adventures could be on the way.

Last weekend, Koenig appeared at a Star Trek convention where he told fans about an eye-opening meeting he had with Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski.

According to Koenig, "He told me that he is in negations to reacquire the rights to Babylon 5 and it looks pretty good. Now, what that portends, I am not entirely sure. It could be a new series, or it could be a feature film, but he was quite animated about it. He seemed very excited, and Warner Brothers is dealing with him in good faith. So you might see another Babylon 5 in the not-too-distant future." Could it be? Could more Babylon 5 be in our future? If they couldn't produce a new series, we'd love another made-for-TV movie. The only downside is that several cast members from the original show have died since its cancellation. Jeff Conaway (Zack Allen), Richard Biggs (Dr. Stephen Franklin) and Andreas Katsulas (G'Kar) are no longer with us. How would they formulate a story with all those key players missing? A prequel? A spinoff? What do you think?
