You may choose to take this article with a grain of salt, but if what we just heard is true, then we've got the biggest news that Doctor Who has seen in, well ... 50 YEARS. Could it be that on Who's 50th year of existing that we could see a TV special that incorporates ALL 11 Doctors?

Here's a quick tale of the tape so we're all on the same page. Blogtor Who, which is one of the most reliable Who sites and is often first to post major spoilers, put out an article about the 50th Anniversary then, very quickly, took it back down. Since then? No word. But once the genie is out of the bottle, it is OUT of the bottle.

So here's the word on the digital street. Not only will the anniversary special be called "The 11 Doctors," but as the name suggests, ALL of the Doctors will be in it. In fact, the phrasing used was all of them have "agreed" to take part in it.

Stopping right there for a minute. What on Earth does that mean? Three of those actors aren't even alive! So is it a licensing thing? An estate thing? Or could we be seeing some of the former actor's children taking up the mantle? After all, Sean Pertwee and both Sam and David Troughton are actors. What we're saying is, there is fertile ground here with which to work.

That's just part one. Next is the script. At this point, there are, supposedly, two versions floating around—one with a lot of Christopher Eccleston and one with only a little. Bottom line: depending on how interested (read: how much thtey are able to pay) Chris is, depends on the story we'll get.

As for length, we're hearing 90 minutes with filming to begin in February.

And that isn't even the end of it. All of this is, again supposedly, leading up to a New Year's episode which will see the regeneration of 11th Doctor, Matt Smith.

Keep in mind, Blogtor Who claimed that they heard this from "trusted sources" and, based on the past, the site's sources have almost always been credible.

So! Assuming we can take all of this at face value—what do you think?
