Today we celebrate all our valiant men and women who have served our country in time of need, so on this Veterans Day 2016 it seems somewhat appropriate to salute the screen veterans of the rebel alliance against the dreaded Empire with these two new international Rogue One trailers.

For my money, this first two-minute Korean trailer is the best one yet, focusing on the Asian characters of Chirrut and Baze and constructed with a fluid editing style blending both new and previously seen footage, building steadily to a geekgasmic crescendo.  Here we get a glimpse of Bistan blasting stormtroopers, more of the horrific Death Star test firing on Jedha, starships darting through the cosmos like ferocious fireflies, more of the Imperial walker's bazooka hit and a vertigo-inducing X-wing attack run.

The second preview is a new international TV spot titled "Hope" and features a magnificent panorama of an ominous swarm of TIE fighters, a peek of a cute Jedhan girl rescued by Jyn and heroic rebels hustling through the tropical foliage of Scarif.

This is a momentous return to the rousing spectacles of the original trilogy, and it appears that director Gareth Edwards has nailed that nostalgic tone and style with a distinctive flair we can all begin to go berserk for.  But you still have to wait until Dec. 16!  Have a look ...
