Ryan Murphy's hard at working prepping season two of American Horror Story. Last year, it racked up huge ratings for FX and huge awards for actress Jessica Lange. If you were a fan of her work, you're in luck. Murphy has revealed that next season, Lange will be front and center.

Murphy is giving American Horror Story a makeover. He previously announced that next season will feature a new location and cast, with a few familiar faces. So far, he's confirmed that four actors from season one will return but as different characters. Two-time Oscar winner Jessica Lange will go from supporting player to leading lady.

"We have designed the second season of American Horror Story completely around her character," said Murphy. "This will really be the Jessica Lange show, so I'm very excited about it. We are designing this amazing new opposite of the Constance character for her. She and I have spoken about different things. She has a lot of ideas, and has a lot of input into her character. She told me some things she has always wanted to play as an actress. She's a great collaborator and a great friend."

For us, Lange's return will be bittersweet. We're happy she's on board, but AHS won't be the same without crazy Constance. She was such a memorable and fun character.

As for the show's new location, Murphy confirmed that season two takes "place on the East Coast and will involve a horror institution." Perhaps that fan poster that surfaced last month was more accurate than we thought?
