The epic supernatural showdown we’ve all been waiting for is finally slated to debut in North America in just a few weeks, and we have a new trailer to whet your appetite for Sadako vs. Kayako, aka The Ring vs. The Grudge.

It’s been over eight months (I know, right?) since we brought you the first full trailer for Sadako vs. Kayako, the Japanese crossover horror movie that finally pitches Ringu's (The Ring) vengeful ghost, Sadako, against Ju-On's (The Grudge) evil spirit Kayako and her creepy dead son, Toshio.

Directed by Koji Shiraishi (Carved: The Slit-Mouthed Woman, Grotesque), the movie from Kadokawa and NBC Universal Japan saw a 4-D June release in Japan, with no premiere date in sight for North America -- although Sadako vs. Kayako was shown at Fantastic Fest in the U.S. back in September, and at the Toronto International Film Festival and Montreal Festival of New Cinema in September and October respectively.

But now the wait is finally over for us mere mortals because Sadako vs. Kayako will make its highly anticipated debut exclusively on the Shudder streaming service in the U.S., Canada and the UK on Jan. 26! Have a look at the official synopsis before digging into the new trailer below.

After viewing a legendary cursed videotape, Natsumi (Aimi Satsukawa) discovers she has only two days before she will be killed by the demonic entity known as Sadako. The only way to break the curse: pitting the demon Sadako against Kayako, an accursed spirit possessing a haunted house where everyone who enters disappears.
