Sanctuary season premiere joins Friday ratings surge

The second season premiere of Sanctuary joined Stargate Universe in a Friday night ratings surge, leaping 18 percent among adults ages 18-49 and 7 percent among adults 25-54 versus last year's average, according to Syfy. The series grabbed nearly 1.9 million viewers (1.85) on Friday, Oct. 9, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Sanctuary, starring Amanda Tapping and Robin Dunne, delivered nearly 1 million adults 18-49 (946,000)—its second highest A18-49 delivery ever—along with 1.15 million adults 25-54.

Sanctuary airs Fridays on Syfy at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
