In a little more than a week, fans will finally get to pour into theaters to see Ant-Man and the Wasp, Marvel Studios' latest superhero adventure starring the titular shrinking heroes played by Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, respectively. Now there's another new clip from the film to tide you over until then.
Rudd, suiting up as Ant-Man (aka Scott Lang) for the third time in this film, stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Wednesday to talk about the film, his home state of Kansas, and his daughter, among other things. He also brought a little bit of new footage from the film along, which you can check out at the beginning of the clip below.
In the clip, Scott is pursuing the money-grubbing villain Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins), who's gotten his hands on Hank Pym's (Michael Douglas) shrunken lab and escaped with it on a boat leaving a pier. Scott's in pursuit, but his Ant-Man suit is giving him a little trouble. The easiest way to go seems to be to hop on a flying ant and get across the water that way, but this close to the ocean Scott will face a threat unlike any he's ever dealt with before: seagulls hungry for insects. Captain America may be more famous, but he's never had to deal with that.
The clip is a great example of how the film blends superhero action and unexpected comedy, and we get another fun "ant" pun nickname to boot. Keep watching the clip for more from Rudd, including how he managed to end up in two of the world's tallest buildings in the span of 24 hours while promoting this movie.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is in theaters July 6. Will you be watching?
