We’re just a couple weeks away from the release of Ant-Man, and now Marvel has revealed the first clip from the studio’s newest (and tiniest) hero.

The clip focuses on Paul Rudd’s version of Scott Lang, who has apparently just obtained the Ant-Man suit at this point in time. The scene extends some footage we’ve already glimpsed in the trailers, which finds Scott testing out his shrinking abilities in a (very dirty) bathtub. Turns out Scott has pretty much no clue what he’s doing in that moment.

Even better? Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym is talking to him through the helmet (much to Scott’s confusion), and sets up a little survival test to see if Scott really is the right man to take up his mantle. The clip shows off a whole lot more of the unique effects work on display here, and we’re definitely interested to see more of it. We also get to see a bit more of the mentor-student dynamic between Lang and Pym, which looks to be fairly entertaining (Michael Douglas FTW).

Check out the clip below and let us know what you think:

Ant-Man opens July 17.
