Mystery Science Theater 3000 returned earlier this year, this time coming to Netflix for a 14-episode series with a brand-new cast of heroes and villains. The series was made possible thanks to an overwhelmingly popular Kickstarter campaign, which raised over $6 million to fund the production.
During San Diego Comic-Con, the cast and creator of the cult hit spoke to SYFY WIRE about the immense undertaking, the threat of failure, ruining their own childhoods, and the changes they made along the way.
Among those changes: robot arms that actually moved.
