From its humble beginnings at the U.S. Grant Hotel in 1970, the annual geek-fest known as San Diego Comic-Con has been about the funny books, regardless of Hollywood's recent invasion to showcase their latest sci-fi, horror, or fantasy spectacle.

At this year's colorful event, expect DC and Marvel to be out in full force, along with mini-major publishers like Dark Horse, Titan, IDW, Boom!, Dynamite, Aftershock, Valiant, and many more, all presenting fresh new titles and fearless projects in every genre imaginable.

Join SYFY WIRE's Jackie Jennings and Karama Horne as they get us up to speed on all the biggest mini-series, one-shots, and graphic novels you can expect to see and hear about at SDCC 2018. From Brian Michael Bendis' Superman #1 and Joelle Jones' current Catwoman run to Cosmic Ghost Rider, Fantastic Four, and X-23 at Marvel, you'll be gleefully deluged with upcoming reading material.
