The Hasbro kickoff breakfast is always a first-day highlight at San Diego Comic-Con, and 2018 was no different.
The toy giant unveiled a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier-sized payload of new toys at this year's media preview from its biggest licenses, including Marvel, Transformers, My Little Pony and of course, Star Wars. Celebrating the legacy of these classic toy brands is a big priority this year, with many lines having specific throwback toys and packaging designed to activate ALL the nostalgic feelings for collectors.
The biggest presence at the breakfast was actually reserved for Bumblebee, the eponymous star of his own film coming out in December. In keeping with the movie's 1980s time period, Hasbro created a toy line based on the film with all sorts or rad '80s touches. We'll go ahead and predict that the Soundwave boombox will be a big hit this holiday season.
SYFY WIRE had the chance to preview the new toys, including our first look at Wave 2 Black Panther action figures!
