What makes Stranger Things so good? A lot of things, obviously, but a big part of it is the sheer amount of awesomeness they cram into one little show. Well, expect a whole lot more in Season 2.

We caught up with series creators The Duffer Brothers, as well as producer Shawn Levy, at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about where the hit Netflix series is heading next. The Duffers reiterated that the first season was always conceived as a series set-up, meaning they had ideas for where to take it in a potential second season (even if they did wrap up a decent bit of the story by the season finale). With Year 2, they said they’re treating it like a film sequel, going bigger by upping the stakes.

Levy noted fans will be amazed by the sheer amount of plot they manage to jam into this thing. Considering the insanity of that new trailer, yeah, we believe him.

Season 2 of Stranger Things premieres October 27.
